What is an INITIATION?

Few understand the great importance of the INITIATION in daily life. Regarded as a cultural aspect by some, a mystic event by others, or just the result of “placebo” by others still, INITIATION has always been viewed as a turning point in the life of the initiated, a moment of truth when the old person dies, making room for the new one, who is reborn at a new level of consciousness.
INITIATION is the act of transmitting some information or an idea that is new for the receiver together with the power to integrate effectively the new knowledge in the daily life. To initiate means to bring someone “inside” the specific space that corresponds to that initiation. In simple words, “to initiate” means to reveal the secrets and to transfer the power to make them effective.

The initiation is the process of starting a understanding and transformation in accordance with the new knowledge. INITIATION is much more than a process of learning. In order to be able to assimilate and start applying the new notions in the daily life, one needs to be initiated into those notions. From this perspective, the INITIATION is a process that gives a new direction together with the first steps in the new direction.
An INITIATION is not only a transmission of information but is also the direct transmission of the formation so that, at least for a while, we are able to follow that direction, armed with all the necessary skills for that and supported by the power of that transfer. The transmission of information can come from anyone, but the transmission of formation can come only from one that has all the skills.
In the process of INITIATION one receives the proper knowledge and the proper ATTITUDE that is fundamental in order to be able start efficiently putting the KNOWLEDGE into practice. Without INITIATION, studying is just sterile information. An ATTITUDE in absence of the proper knowledge is just uncontrolled and purposeless action. The INITIATION brings both aspects together and makes them efficiently operative. The INITIATE is a person who has both the KNOWLEDGE and the right ATTITUDE to look upon that KNOWLEDGE. An INITIATE is a person that has awakened the practical experience and is therefore able to awaken in others the practical ability to have the same experience. The INITIATES and the ones who will be INITIATED are together in this unique event of transformation.

How does the INITIATION work?
By direct contact with the person of an INITIATE, the energetic vibrations are transferred to the one who receives the INITIATION and in this way the information comes together with the formation, the suggestions come with the ATTITUDES.
Here we have the example of a wise man who was giving lectures and guidance to people who came to him for advice. One day there were a lot of people in the house, all of them posing questions and looking to the wise man for answers. After a while the wise man noticed that there was a young man sitting in a corner of the room, silently observing all this talk without saying anything. The wise man asked the young man: “you don't have any questions?” and the young man answered: “No!”
The wise man continued, “Then why are you here since you don’t have any questions?” To this the young man answered: “I am here not to listen to your words, but to see you tying your shoes. In this way I want to see the way you apply the words you say to these people to the minute details of life”. This young man was the one who was asking for the INITIATION, while the others were just asking for the proper knowledge. 
There are some traditional elements that indicate the effect of the INITIATION upon the one who is initiated. In the Christian tradition, when the newborn child was sick they use to baptize him faster in order for the child to benefit from the effects of this genuine INITIATION that is the baptism. This intuitive application of the effects of the INITIATION sheds some light upon the mechanisms of the INITIATION that were known in the popular tradition and applied intuitively by people.
Remember that the INITIATION is just a seed that was properly planted and then for a little while watered. After this it is the responsibility of the initiated one to continue to apply the knowledge that was effectively implanted into his being through the INITIATION so that the “seed” will become the strong plant of achievement.
